Let's talk about the "P" word

 

Before I started my packaging research, I had NO IDEA that most of the standard mail packaging cannot be recycled. For example, those padded bubble mailers, even if they are made of paper, cannotgo into your curbside recycling in most cities (Seattle included). Am I the only one who has been happily recycling this stuff?

Mommy, girls are not firemen. That’s silly.

My almost three-year-old daughter has been romping around our house in a pink plastic firefighter hat recently. In my daily attempt to do something to keep her curls out of her food and finger paints, I suggested she could have “firefighter” hair.

She replied with a giggle, “Mommy, girls are not firemen. That’s silly.”
